One of the highlights of yesterdays alumni homecoming and Loyalty Day celebrations was the Jeeptropha - the jeep running on 10% jatropha diesel mix produced by the UPLB Alternative Energy Program.

Jubillarians!

Some snapshots of the class jubillarians, from `57 onwards…

There was no one from Classes `47 and `52. The Golden Jubillarians were there, though and sang the song”UP Beloved”. The lyrics goes like

“Agriculture college dear, devoted sons we’ll always be

Unceasing inspiration do we always draw from thee…”

Each jubillarian got a medal… hhmmm… perhaps I should attend the next homecoming of my class so I can get my own!

Loyalty Day and Alumni Homecoming

October 10, 2007 By: whatsuplb Category: Alumni, Loyalty Day No Comments →

I had the chance to see the foot parade at the Loyalty Day Celebration this morning. Despite being here in LB for so many years, it is actually my first time to watch most of the proceedings. The golden jubillarians were the Class of 1957, and they were inspiring to behold. Each jubillarians got a medal from the oldest to the youngest. Too bad though, that there were few representatives from the younger batches.
