One of my first few posts was Magkano pamasahe sa jeep nung undergrad kayo?. I remembered asking this question as over the weekend, the regular jeepney fare is now 8 pesos and I think student fare is 6.50 pesos. And to think I started at 75 centavos student fare! So what’s the fare now? When you were still students? For sure, it has gone up and down as gas prices changed.

I remember the answer very well because that is one of my examples to my children when I teach them about the importance of being financially astute…
The U.P. Ikot (in Diliman) was 75 centavos. The regular fare was then 1 peso.
