What’s UP, Los Baños?

Going to UPLB would not be complete without the the words pre-reg, reg, admat, COI, Form 5 or that ubiquitous TBA class. Ever remember your worst and best pre-reg? For me, as well as with the rest of Batch `91 , the worst would be the first time they held the pre-reg at Baker Hall. Yup, imagine all UPLB students inside Baker Hall, with most students already forming a line as early as 2 am. That was my baptism of fire in pre-registration. I was imagining that Baker Hall would be fall down due to the sheer volume of students! The best pre-reg for me was my last semester in college. Imagine having top priority in all subjects. I got my desired section in Stat 1 with no sweat! Well, I purposely decided to take Stat1 in my last semester so I wouldn’t have any difficulty in the pre-reg.

For the first time, UPLB registration is going online. There has been a lot proposals for online registration, or rather previously, a computerized registration. Now with the Internet available, you can choose your courses online! Hopefully this works well for everyone concerned. Perhaps the next thing they can consider is how to avoid long lines during payment and getting the classcards.
